Primary responsibilities
1. Welding Process Design: Develop and design welding processes for automotive body structures, including setting welding parameters, planning welding paths, and selecting welding equipment.
2. Process Optimization: Continuously optimize welding processes to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure welding quality meets standards.
3. Technical Support: Provide technical support to the production line, troubleshoot welding issues, and ensure smooth production.
4. Quality Control: Participate in the inspection and evaluation of welding quality to ensure compliance with design requirements and industry standards.
5. Project Management: Participate in new product development projects, responsible for planning and implementing welding processes to ensure timely delivery.
6. Team Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, production teams, and quality control departments to ensure welding processes are coordinated with overall production workflows.
7. Training and Guidance: Provide welding technical training and guidance to production staff to enhance the overall technical level of the team.
Knowledge & skill requirements
1. Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a BIW Welding Engineer, with a background in the automotive manufacturing industry preferred.
3. Technical Skills:
4. Proficient in welding processes, including resistance welding, Arc/Laser welding, etc.
5. Familiar with the operation and maintenance of welding equipment, such as welding robots and welding fixtures.
6. Knowledge of automotive body structure and welding process requirements.
7. Proficient in using CAD/CAM software for welding process design.
