1. Research reliability related standards of automotive products, including microelectronics,
electronic control unit, eMotor, fuel cell, brakes, steering, solenoid valve, sensors etc.
2. Plan reliability tests for product platform project.
3. Design quantitative lifetime acceleration tests focusing on specific failure modes.
4. Research on the state of the art of reliability related, e.g. damage mechanism of failure mode,
reliability test method…
5. Develop the test method, reliability tool.
6. Define load profile and transfer system load to inner load of elements.
7. Reliability evaluation to forecast failure probability of component/system.
8. Statistical analysis for the reliability test data.
9. Failure analysis during reliability test.
10. Work with project managers, product development departments, test engineers to complete
testing, establish product testing standards, specifications, and work instructions.
Educational background (language):
- Master degree or above, majored in Microelectronics, Electrical, Electrical Automation,
Automotive, Machinery, Materials.
- Fluent in English speaking and writing.
Job Relevant Knowledge:
- Good knowledge on damage mechanism of component: mechanical fatigue, thermal fatigue,
electrochemical migration, diffusion, lamination, plastic aging/fatigue, rubber aging, corrosion,
wear etc.
- Understanding of automotive system, components and material, e.g. power module (SiC, IGBT,
Mosfet), inverter, converter, on-board charger, eMotor, e-connector, gearbox, differential, oil
pump, steering, solenoid valve, sensors, plastic, rubber, metal etc.
Work Experience:
- Experience in automotive engineering, especially for reliability engineer in automotive is highly
preferred.
- Experience on following tools highly preferred: Weibull++, ALTA, miniTab, Matlab/simulink,
AMESim, ABAQUS, ANSYS, FMEA, FTA, 8D.
